As many of our products are protected by patents, the following is a short series of questions and answers relating to Intellectual Property (I.P.).

This FAQ is intended to serve basic introduction to this complex subject.

What is a patent ?

A patent is a legally binding document which is intended to prevent a product from being copied by others.

Why are patents important ?

Patents are important because they fuel innovation by rewarding inventors. Without them many products would never be commercially available.

Why should I care ?

It is important to understand that when a product has been patented it can only be manufactured by the companies who have the permission of the patent holder to do so.

Specialised Fabrics

The fabrics used in our shelters were specially designed by us in order to cope with the often very harsh aviation environment.

Our materials exhibit an extremely high strength to weight ratio and are designed to resist Skydrol, oils, and fuels.

Furthermore, they remain usable in both very high and very low temperatures and in the event of getting a tear on-site, they can be easily and quickly repaired.
